Day 6 was on Friday. I woke up early and went for a sunrise walk along the beach. It was a beautiful morning. We had had a few busy days with lots of tours and eating out, I decided to stay at the lodge for most of the day. I was quite happy spending the morning after yoga working on my blog. Went for a swim in the pool and had a nice beef burrito for lunch.

Time flew by and before I knew it, it was time to head to the beach for a swim. I spent an hour there and saw the sunset through. Had a most extraordinary sunset and then slowly headed back to the lodge,
Had some nice local food at the restaurant – Ayam Goreng – some fried chicken. It came with some other side dishes which were quite good.
Day 7 was special. Tarli was arriving! I was planning to leave for the airport at 9:00 am to pick her up. So we had yoga a bit earlier at 7:00 am. We had breakfast at 8:00 am and I left for the airport around 9:10 am. Tarli’s flight was delayed about an hour and by the time she came out it was past noon. I spent some time walking around this huge airport. At some point I just sat down and had a beer.

It was great to see Tarli coming out after passing immigration and customs. The first thing we did once back at Kashantee Village was to have lunch. After that we went to get our massages next door at Benin Spa. I had booked Tarli and I ninety minute Balinese massages and they were so good!
In the late afternoon, Tarli and I walked to the beach and walked about 45 minutes along the ocean to get to Ku De Ta, my favorite Beach Club in Bali. Serving great food and drink, this is a very classy place and you can get a very nice sunset. We got a few drinks and watched a beautiful sunset. Tarli was happy to be here, it being the end of the term and she was enjoying the warm Bali temperature as opposed to the cold Australian winter.

We had dinner at Ku De Ta and then we walked about ten minutes to Hotel Mexicola. It was super crowded. I even got patted down before allowed entry and they also searched Tarli’s bag. I guess it gets very crowded here and things can get a bit rowdy. On the way over Tarli and I had walked into the Bali Boathouse – a men’s clothing store. Tarli liked one of the men’s half shirts and so she and I got matching shirts! I got a few more since the quality and fit of the shirts were really good.

After having a michelada at Hotel Mexicola we came back to our lodge. It was truly amazing how much Tarli was able to do after the long flight from Melbourne. It was time to rest though! More about Day 8 to follow.
